Mindfulness Meditation Coaching
Through evidence-based mindfulness coaching, learn practical techniques to systematically develop your well-being and reduce struggle—without rituals or ideologies, just what works.
The Approach
I teach mindfulness using the Unified Mindfulness system—a secular, scientifically-oriented approach that takes the mindfulness component shared across traditions worldwide and formulates it in a practical way, not attached to any ideologies or rituals.
We’ll discuss your goals and explore how mindfulness techniques can help. Here are five categories of goals we can work with:
- Improving Relationships: Reducing reactivity, nurturing positive attitudes around relationships
- Relief: Reducing stress, pain management, rewiring negative self-talk
- Elevating Fulfillment: Being more present with pleasures like food or pleasant emotions
- Positive Behavior Change: Working with urges to engage in unwanted behaviors, developing positive habits
- Understanding Yourself Better: On a psychological level, as a sensory system

About Phillip

I’ve been practicing mindfulness for six years and am a certified coach through a 2 year teacher training program under the Unified Mindfulness training program by Shinzen Young. I was first introduced to mindfulness in 2019 when I picked up a book hoping to become more confident and alleviate some anxiety.
While the practice helped with these initial goals, it surprised me in ways I hadn’t anticipated—reduced reactivity, less overwhelm and overthinking, the ability to enjoy experiences like eating and socializing more, and increased emotional awareness.
I tend to be more rationally minded, so I was quickly drawn to the secular discussions around mindfulness. From there, I came across mindfulness teacher and neuroscience research consultant Shinzen Young, and his system Unified Mindfulness. I was impressed by how comprehensive and practical this system was, and it has been my main guide in my practice. I enjoy constantly learning how to suffer less and be more fulfilled, as well as sharing this practice with others.
